If you were a parent, would you buy a doll that misrepresented your values?
If I were a parent I wouldn't mind buying the doll. All it is a baby doll. Little children do not look into the meaning of it. To them it is just a toy. I actually think Barbie empowers young children. To me the doll doesn't play that big of a role in the children lives. I would teach my child not to idolize unrealistic things. Looks are not the most important thing in the world.
Should handguns be illegal?
I think handguns shouldn't be illegal. I do think it should be hard for people to obtain guns though. It is easier for people to come up with killing schemes because it is too easy for them to get the guns. I agree that if guns were harder to get there would be less crimes. It is too easy for people to come up with all these plans.
Nike Symbol
The event that inspired the picture is Nike Company. The person in this picture is a guy. Exaggeration is used as an artistic technique. Three things that you might infer from the picture is he loves Nike, it is his addiction, and he is a little crazy. The message the guy is trying to get across is that he loves Nike to the extreme. The Nike corporation would agree with the message. The picture is promoting the company and it is putting it out there more. The artist's point of view about the topic is positive. The Nike check tattoo supports that. The picture isn't persuasive. It isn't a smart idea.
